Metro Weekly's video editor, Aram Vartian, used a couple of innovative cameras to capture D.C.'s annual Capital Pride Parade in clever, new ways. Watch in high-def if you can, and please share with your friends.
First, Aram used slow-motion to capture the hidden beauty of interactions between the parade's participants and its viewers along P Street NW. Super Grand Marshal Lynda Carter and many others are shown waving rainbow flags, tossing out beads, and partying with pride in this wonderfully hypnotic piece of art.
Next, he gives us a summary of what it's like to be in the parade. Shot from the back of Metro Weekly's own contingent, we're taken from 22nd Street, through Dupont Circle, down 17th Street and over to 14th in just 30 seconds.
